Plum Blossom is always one of our favorite stops in the capital region. Fresh, authentic Chinese food with an exceptional atmosphere and great service. This most recent trip, we order a Pu Pu Platter, Shrimp with Spinach Noodles, and Beef and Broccoli. Never once have we had a bad meal here; 10/10.

This was the best meal we've had in so long. Everything was screaming hot and so fresh. Not greasy at all and the chicken had a light breading while being perfectly crispy on the outside and so tender and light inside. The dumplings we got as an appetizer were the perfect combination of fluffy and soft outside with an awesome crisp on one side. The meat was so tender and flavorful. I would give this place 100 stars if I could. The portions were so generous and filling with totally reasonable prices. We got an order of dumplings (5), two chicken combination dinners (which came with a big bowl of amazing soup), and hot tea and it was only $47! (And I have enough left over for lunch tomorrow) We will definitely be coming back in the near future and recommend this place to everyone!!

Shrimp tempura had the legs & shell on the shrimp. Making it very difficult to eat & disgusting!! When I mentioned it to management they said “that’s how they come”…. GROSS!! So, unless you like “EXTRA” crunchy shrimp tempura I wouldn’t recommend ordering that. Finally went with the Poo poo platter. They need a divider to keep the white sauce on the shrimp from running into the sauce on the chicken.

The place is very stylish and clean. It really impressed us. We went for a girls' night out. The coconut chicken soup was really nice and different. It was a flavor I wasn't used to and I ate it. My plate was salmon and rice. It was good too. My friends ate noodles. We were generally satisfied. It was a place I can recommend. I like visiting different cultures and restaurants and trying new things.

An authentic Chinese restaurant experience felt like stepping into a vintage memory. Back when dining out was an event, not just a transaction. You sat down. You lingered. Tea arrived without asking. The room hummed with quiet ritual. The house-made mustard was perfect—sharp, clean, sinus-clearing in a way that felt intentional, almost medicinal. A small detail that said everything about the kitchen. This was a time when Chinese restaurants were places you dined, not just kitchens that fed takeout containers. Plates were shared, conversations stretched, and the food anchored the moment. No branding. No rush. Just well-worn menus, confident cooking, and the comfort of being cared for.
